Pune: Molestation of a Seven-Year-Old Minor Girl; 65-Year-Old Accused Booked under POCSO

Pune: In Pune’s Undri residential area, a complaint of sexual abuse and molestation of a minor girl was registered against a 65-year-old senior citizen. In this regard, the 43-year-old mother of the victim girl filed a complaint against the accused at Kondhwa police station.

The accused is identified as Sahebrao Dharmaji Ghayatadke and is a resident of Bibvewadi, Pune. Based on the complaint filed by the plaintiff, the police booked the accused under IPC 354 and the POCSO Act.

As per the information, the accused and the victim girl reside in the same society. On Tuesday, February 6, when the victim girl was going somewhere through the lift, the accused, Ghaytadke, called the girl towards him and did obscenities with her.

He made filthy comments and caused her embarrassment. After that, when the girl reported this incident to her parents, her parents immediately rushed to the Kondhwa police station and filed a complaint against the accused. Further investigation is being conducted by Assistant Police Inspector Amit Shete.
