Pune Parvati Police Station | Dattawadi Police Station is now Parvati Police Station

Pune : Pune Parvati Police Station | The Dattawadi Police Station has been renamed as the Parvati Police Station. The State Government took this decision to recognize the historic and cultural importance of the Parvati Hills in the city.

State Government’s Section Officer Rupali Kabare has issued an order in this regard. The Dattawadi Police Station was carved out of the Swargate Police Station, which was growing. The Dattawadi Police Chowky was earlier located at the Dattawadi Police Station. Citizens were getting confused due to the similarity of names of the Dattawadi Police Chowky and Dattawadi Police Station. Hence, they pointed this out to the Director General of Police (DGP). They had requested to rechristen the police station. Therefore, the government has renamed the Dattawadi Police Station as the Parvati Police Station.
