Pune Police Crime Branch | Duo Arrested for Bike Thefts for Fun, Nine Vehicles Worth Rs 3 Lakh Seized
Pune : Policenama online – Pune Police Crime Branch |A duo has been arrested in connection with bike thefts for the fun by the Anti-robbery and anti-vehicle theft squad of Pune Police Crime Branch.
The police seized eight bikes and one car worth Rs 3.27 lakh in the action. Pappu Nekram Chaudhary (20) resident of Darshannagar, Punawale, Chinchwad, originally from Pali, Rajasthan, and Satish Amarsinh Pawar (23) resident of Marunji, tal Mulshi, originally from Yavatmal have been arrested for vehicle lifting in Pune and surrounding area.
The policemen Rajesh Lokhande and Shivaji Jadhav of the anti-robbery and anti-vehicle theft squad were tipped off about the sell deal of stolen bike at a garage near Lagababa Math.
A trap was laid down at the garage by Senior Police Inspector Sunil Pandharkar and PSI Gunga Jagtap under the guidance of CP Amitabh Gupta, Joint CP Dr Ravindra Shisve, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Srinivas Ghadge, ACP Laxman Borate to nab them. The Policemen Rajesh Abhange, Rajesh Lokhande, Vinayak Ramane, Shivaji Jadhav, Ganesh Lokhande and Sudesh Sapkal took part in the action taken at Lagadbaba Math in Wanwadi Police Station jurisdiction.
Thus, the police have solved the multiple cases of vehicle thefts in Hadapsar, Kondhwa, Kothrud, Chaturshringi, Wakad, Talegaon Dabhade, and Nigdi area.
