Pune: RMD Foundation to set up Agriculture Knowledge Hub for farmers: Shobhatai R Dhariwal

Pune: Farmers are the backbone of rural India and the agriculture social system. They toil hard to grow foodgrain for the country. Economy runs on their hard work as the Indian Economy is based on agriculture. Farmers earn his daily bread by growing crops.

However, many times farmers do not get proper guidance while doing traditional farming. They do not know which new seeds are best suited for their soil. They do not know modern techniques of farming, marketing of their produce, challenges before them and how to tackle them.

To address these issues and to train farmers as per their needs, the RMD Foundation will build the Agriculture Knowledge Hub at Nimgaon in Solapur district. This was revealed by Shobhatai R Dhariwal, Vice-President, RMD Foundation, during the inking of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Madha Welfare Foundation at Manikchand Skyone in Kalyani Nagar, Pune.

RMD Foundation President Janhavi Dhariwal Balan and the office-bearers of the Madha Welfare Foundation were present. “The Agriculture Knowledge Hub will be set up at a cost of Rs 1 crore, where 800-1,000 farmers can be trained at a time. Farmers will be provided lodging and boarding. The project will be completed by this month,” said Janhavi Dhariwal.
