Pune: Tragedy Strikes! Schoolboy Killed, Parents Injured in Bike Accident on Mumbai-Bengaluru Expressway

Pune: In a disturbing incident, a school-going boy lost his life while his parents sustained injuries after losing control of their bike at high speed. The tragic accident occurred in the vicinity of the new Katraj tunnel area on the Mumbai-Bengaluru expressway, casting a pall of gloom over the community. The deceased has been identified as Aditya Sachin Bintade, a 12-year-old resident of Modak Vasti, Jambhulwadi Road, Ambegaon Budruk.

The victim’s father, Sachin (43), and mother, Vasanti (38), were also injured in the mishap and are currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital. The family, comprising Sachin, his wife, and their son Aditya, was en route to Satara on Sunday afternoon when tragedy struck. Sachin, at the helm of the bike, reportedly lost control near the New Katraj Tunnel, causing the vehicle to skid off the road.

The severity of the accident left all three family members with injuries, necessitating immediate medical attention. Despite efforts to save him, Sachin succumbed to his injuries, succumbing to serious head trauma during treatment at the hospital. Police Sub-Inspector Mohan Jadhav is conducting further investigation.
