Pune | Two held for kidnapping, confining a youth over money in Sinhagad Road area

Pune : Policenama onlineA youth was kidnapped from Sinhagad Road and confined to a place for four days as he was unable to repay money borrowed for his business. The Sinhagad Road police have booked six people and arrested two in this connection.

 

The arrested accused have been identified as Sunny Sunil Chhajlani (31), a resident of Mundhwa, and Salman alias Umar Samir Shaikh (24), a resident of Upper Indira Nagar. Pakya, Abhijit, Mayur, and Shadab have been booked.

 

The incident took place from Qubana Café on Sinhagad College Campus to Goel Ganga Society on Sinhagad Road between January 10 and 14. Rahul Chavan (31), a resident of Moshi, lodged a complaint at the Sinhagad Road police station in this regard.

 

According to the police, Rahul Chavan and his brother Govind Chavan had borrowed money for business from Sunny Chhajlani. They started fighting as Chavan could not return the money. Rahul was at Qubana Café on January 10 when Sunny arrived there, along with his accomplices. He beat up Rahul and took him to his flat and confined him there. He threatened Rahul that he would kill him, if he failed to return borrowed money. Rahul was released on January 14. He approached the police and lodged the complaint.
