Pune: Two succumb to injuries in car accident near Satara on Pune-Bangalore highway

Pune: A car with five passengers who were travelling from Pune to Belgaum to get medicines was hit by an unknown vehicle in the wee hours of Thursday. While two have died on the spot, the others are injured.

They were all closely associated and were relatives, they travelled in a Maruti Suzuki car MH 12 SQ 1195.

Their car was dashed by an unknown vehicle from the side and two members were severely injured and were declared on reaching hospital.

Shrihari Tukaram Waghmare (48) and Bapushaheb Khanderao Kamble (50) have been killed on the spot, while Ashwini Waghmare (45), Ragini Waghmare (21) and Fulchand Chatur (39) are the ones who have survived.

The passengers were all residents of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad. The driver has given a complaint about the accident to the Satara rural police.
