Shikhar Dhawan ends in trouble after Varanasi visit; chargesheet filed for flouting bird-flu rules

A charge sheet has been filed against cricketer Shikhar Dhawan in Varanasi court on Thursday (January 28) days after the Indian batsman flouted bird-flu guidelines during his recent visit to Varanasi.

The charge sheet was filed by advocate Siddharth Srivastava, after which Trithiya Diwakar Kumar, the judicial magistrate lodged the complaint against the cricketer. The court will discuss the matter on February 6 and decide if they want to continue further with the hearing.

In the wake of the Bird Flu pandemic, the District Administration had ordered that no one should feed the birds.

 With the photos of Shikhar Dhawan and the birds going viral, the Varanasi District Administration took the matter in its own hands.

So far, nine states have confirmed the outbreak of Bird Flu with Maharashtra being the worst affected. The Municipal bodies have been vigilant about people protecting themselves from the widespread outbreak. Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, Kerala, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh have been hit by Bird-flu outbreak.
