The accused have been identified as Dhanraj Narsingh Rathod (40), a resident of Sangamner taluka and Yogesh Vitthal Kashid (33), a resident of Sangamner taluka. Talathi Dhanraj Rathod demanded a bribe of ₹40,000 for preparing a separate 7/12 extract of non farm land located at Manglapur in favour of the complainant’s father and 11 others. After compromise, he agreed to accept a bribe of ₹36,000.
Since the complainant did not want to pay a bribe, he lodged a complaint with the ACB. The complaint was verified. Meanwhile, after instructions from Talathi Rathod typist Yogesh Vitthal Kashid accepted a bribe of ₹36,000 in the presence of panches on April 21, 2023. They were arrested red handed. An FIR has been registered against Talathi Rathod and typist Kashid.
SP Sharmistha Walawalkar of Nashik region, Addl SP Narayan Nyahalde, DySP Narendra Pawar guided a team of officials including PI Gayatri M Jadhav, constable Sachin Gosavi, police naik Ajay Garud and driver constable Vinod Pawar in taking the action.
