A 50-year-old woman resident of Dhankawadi has lodged a complaint (79/23) at the Bibvewadi police station. The incident took place on the road going to Mahesh Society from Lower India Nagar at Bibvewadi on Saturday at 1 pm.
According to the police, when the complainant was walking, one person came near her. He told her that there were policemen ahead and asked her to remove her ornaments. The complainant was removing her 77 gm mangalsutra worth ₹3.85 lakh when the person snatched it and ran away with his friend on a bike. Senior PI Jadhav is probing the case.
