SANGLI: ACB Trap News | The ACB has arrested Chief of Vita Municipal Council Vinayak Vijay Aundhkar (47) red-handed while he was accepting a bribe of ₹2 lakh after demanding ₹2.5 lakh for giving permission to a builder for constructing a five-storey apartment. An FIR under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against Chief of Vita Municipal Council Vinayak Vijay Aundhkar (47), a resident of official quarters, Mayni Road, Vita. The complainant is a builder and Chief of Vita Municipal Council Aundhkar demanded a bribe of ₹2.5 lakh on May 16, 2023 to clear his file seeking permission to construct a five-storey building. Since the complainant did not to pay a bribe, he contacted the ACB.
The complaint was verified and the ACB laid a trap at Vita Municipal Council. Vijay Aundhkar was arrested red-handed in the presence of panches while he was accepting a bribe of ₹2 lakh from the complainant.
The action was taken by a team of officials including Pune ACB SP Amol Tambe, Addl SP Suraj Gurav, DySP Sandeep Patil, PI Dattatray Pujari, policeman Ajit Pawar, policeman Salim Makandar, policeman Pritam Chougule, policeman Hrishikesh Badnikar, policeman Sudarshan Patil, policeman Atul More, policeman Ravindra Dhumal, policeman Chandrakant Jadhav, policewoman Veena Jadhav, policewoman Seema Mane and driver policeman Vantmure.
