Woody Harrelson joins Mary Elizabeth Winstead for upcoming Netflix thriller ‘Kate’

 Pune, Policenama Online – Three-time Academy Award Nominee Woody Harrelson (The Highwaymen, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri, Solo: A Star Wars Story) joins the previously announced upcoming Netflix assassin thriller called ‘Kate’ with Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
The director of the Netflix movie is Cedric Nicolas-Troyan of ‘The Huntsman: Winter’s War’ fame.
The movie is written by Umair Aleem.

The producers of the movie are Bryan Unkeless (I, Tonya, Bright, Birds of Prey), Kelly McCormick (Deadpool 2, the upcoming Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw), Patrick Newall (Dhaka, The Old Man And The Gun) Executive Producer: David Leitch, Scott Morgan.

After she’s irreversibly poisoned, a ruthless criminal operative has less than 24 hours to exact revenge on her enemies and in the process forms an unexpected bond with the daughter of one of her past victims.

Among the crew are well-respected key department heads including Stunt Coordinator and Second Unit Director Jonathan Eusebio (John Wick franchise, Birds of Prey, Black Panther), Academy Award Winning Special Effects Make-Up Designer Damian Martin (Mad Max: Fury Road), Visual Effects Producer Taylor Rockwell (Bad Times at the El Royale, The Fate of the Furious) and Production Designer Dominic Watkins (The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle, The Mummy, The Bourne Supremacy) and DP Lyle Vincent (Dreamland, Bad Education).

Harrelson recently starred in the Netflix feature ‘The Highwaymen’ opposite Kevin Costner.

He also appeared as Archie Bunker in ABC’s Live in Front of a Studio Audience: Norman Lear’s All in the Family and The Jeffersons.

He recently wrapped Zombieland: Double Tap. Also on Harrelson’s movie slate is Roland Emmerich’s WWII film Midway where he will star as Admiral Chester Nimitz.

He is set to executive producer and star in the limited series based on the critically acclaimed book of the same title by Bill Minutaglio and Steven L Davis which follows Timothy Leary’s daring prison escape and run from the law in 1970.
