A man booked for cheating a woman on the pretext of giving job in PMC, promising to marry her

Pune : Policenama online Pune Crime News | The police booked a man for making a fake promise of job in the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and taking Rs. 8.5 lakh from a woman. Moreover, the person also had a physical relationship with the woman by promising to marry her. (Pune Crime News)

 

In this case, a 34-year-old woman from Bavdhan has filed a complaint at the Kothrud Police Station. According to the police, a case of rape has been registered against Santosh Dattatraya Pawar from Medha. The incident took place between 2019 and February 2021 in Kothrud, Deccan Pavilion Hotel and Navle Bridge area.

 

According to the police, accused Santosh Pawar lured the complainant by promising her a job in the PMC after winning her trust. He took Rs 8.68 lakh from her for the job. Taking advantage of an argument that happened at her home, he sweet-talked her and promised to marry her.

 

He invited her to Hotel Deccan Pavilion and had physical relations with her by sedating her through food. He cheated her for Rs 8.68 lakh by physically and mentally abusing her without giving her a job and also without marrying her.
