Pune: A startling incident took place in the Lohegaon area of Pune, where a 15-year-old girl was forcibly kissed and molested by a 23-year-old man. In this regard, Viman Nagar police have registered a case against the youth under the POCSO Act and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Mahesh Ambadas Chandrasekhar, and he lives in the same society as the victim girl. According to the complaint, on Monday, May 6, when the victim’s parents were not at home at around 6.30 in the evening, the accused brazenly entered the victim’s house and forcibly dragged the victim towards her with the intention of outraging her modesty.
The accused then kissed the minor girl and attempted to molest her by behaving indecently with her in spite of knowing that she was a minor. Shockingly, when the girl tried to escape from his clutches and flee, the accused chased her and severely beat her. The accused also threatened the victim to commit suicide if she told anyone about this incident.
After the incident, the victim girl filed a police complaint at Viman Nagar police station on Tuesday. Accordingly, police registered a police case against the accused under IPC 354, 354(a) 323, and the POCSO Act. Further investigation is being conducted by Assistant Police Inspector Nadhe.
