Pune : Policenama online – District Guardian Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar announced on Saturday that playgrounds can be thrown open to sports persons to avoid inconvenience to them. Swimming pools can be reopened to sportspersons and those who have taken two vaccine doses. However, sportspersons should also have taken two doses.
Pawar reviewed the Covid-19 situation in Pune city and the district. He issued these instructions in this meeting. State Legislative Council Deputy Chairperson Neelam Gorhe, MP Vandana Chavan, Mayor Murlidhar Mohol, Mayor Usha Dhore, ZP President Nirmala Pansare, Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao, District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh and ZP CEO Ayush Prasad were present.
Pawar said, “Playgrounds and swimming pools should be thrown open to sports persons. Besides sports persons, those who have taken two vaccine doses can be allowed access to swimming pools. This should be done immediately. However, sportspersons should have also taken two vaccine doses. Officials concerned should be instructed in this regard. Devotees can be allowed at the Bhimashankar temple. A decision should be taken soon about the Lenyadri temple. Small vendors can be allowed to operate at tourist places.”
