Bhosari MLA Mahesh Landge receives threatening message asking him to pay extortion of ₹30 lakh

The threatening message was sent to Mahesh Landge’s Parivartan helpline. The message states that if the money is not given, then Mahesh Landge will be killed. (MLA Mahesh Landge)

 

According to the police, Bhosari MLA Mahesh Landge has started a Parivartan Helpline to help people. The helpline has a WhatsApp number. On Tuesday, an unidentified person sent a message to this number. The message stated, “Pay an extortion of ₹30 lakh or be prepared for consequences. Deposit ₹10 lakh in a bank account and keep the remaining amount in a car.” The message further stated that if the money is not paid, then Mahesh Lande will be killed. The message was seen by Yash Pawar, who looks after the helpline at 9.30 pm.

 

Yash Pawar has lodged a complaint at the Bhosari police station. Accordingly, the police have registered an FIR against an unknown person. Meanwhile, a similar message has been sent to former corporator Avinash Bagwe. Incidents of politicians being threatened with extortion messages have been reported. Mahesh Landge has received a threatening message which is similar to the message sent to politicians in Pune.
