Prayagraj, Dec 28 (UNI)- Body of a six-year-old missing boy was recovered from an abandoned house in Industrial area of Prayagraj district in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, police sources said here.
Police sources said that Tameem alias Babu, a resident of Haldi village, went missing while playing in front of his house on Wednesday evening. “When the family members failed to locate the boy they lodged a missing complaint with the police,” they said.
Police sources said that on Thursday the body of the boy was recovered from the abandoned house behind his residence. “The house from which the body was recovered has been vacant for the last 10 to 15 years. There were injury marks on the head of Tameem,” they said.
Police sources said that the family members have not raised suspicion on anyone. “The body has been sent for postmortem examination and the matter is being investigated,” they said.
