Car driver arrested for grabbing a police officer by his collar

Pune : Policenama online Pune Crime News | The Viman Nagar Police have arrested the car driver who parked his car on the road during rush hours, argued with a senior police inspector and grabbed a police sub inspector by his collar. (Pune Crime News)

 

The arrested driver has been identified as Abhinandan Sakharam Gaikwad (37) from Vadgaon Sheri. In this case, PSI Ravindra Dhavre has lodged a complaint at the Viman Nagar Police Station. The incident took place on the road in front of Khalsa Dairy in Viman Nagar at 7:45 pm on Saturday.

 

According to the police, Senior Police Inspector Vilas Sonde of Viman Nagar Police Station was trying to clear a traffic jam with the help of his colleagues. Abhinandan Gaikwad parked his white car on the road and waited. Pawar asked him to take away the car. He started arguing. Seeing this, the complainant asked him to take away the car without arguing. Then Gaikwad said, “Why did you notice only my car and not other cars?” The complainant requested that there is a traffic jam so take the car away. The accused said, “I will not move my car. Do whatever you want to, I will show you”, and pulled the collar of his uniform in a scuffle.

 

The police have registered a case of obstructing government work and arrested Gaikwad.
