Central Railway to start Pragati Express, Pune-Bhsawal Express soon
Pune : Policenama online – Central Railway (CR) has decided to resume train services which were suspended during the first wave of pandemic. Among the trains that will run again are Pune-Mumbai Pragati Express and Pune-Bhusawal Express. Bhusawal train travels via Nashik. Hence, Nahik-bound passengers will also benefit.
Both these trains are coming back on track after 22 months. They are likely to start operating from January 19. Passengers were demanding resumption of Pragati Express for many days. This train leaving Pune at 7.40 am for Mumbai gets a good response. The CR head office has instructed Pune and Solapur divisions to ready rakes for these trains. The rakes are ready now. Senior officials from CR said Pragati Express may resume operations on January 19. (Central Railway)
The Pune-Solapur Hutatma Express rake is used for Pune-Bhusawal Express.
There is a lukewarm response for Solapur-Miraj Express. Hence, this train route will be extended. This train will now leave Kolhapur and travel via Miraj, Kurduwadi, Solapur to Gulbarga. This train will soon start its run.
