Cyber thieves steal Rs 90,000 from a person’s account on the pretext of speedy delivery of railway ticket

Pune :  Policenama online Pune Cyber Crime News | In order to get the booked railway ticket sent through a courier quickly, a person spent extra money. But it was revealed that he was duped of Rs 90,000 by cyber thieves. (Pune Cyber Crime News)

 

In this case, a 48-year-old citizen from Baner has lodged a complaint at the Chatuhshrungi Police Station.

 

According to the police, the complainant wanted to go to Gujarat. He had booked the train ticket through Sagar Gole. The ticket did not arrive. So, the complainant asked Gole about this. He told the complainant that the ticket was sent by Maruti Courier.

 

Complainant’s wife searched the Maruti Courier office on Google and contacted them. A man sent a link on the complainant’s mobile phone asking that if they wanted faster delivery, they would have to pay extra. After opening the link and filling the details, the fraud took place, Rs. 90,000 were debited from his account.
