Father Killed 8-Year-Old Daughter and Committed Suicide Under Mounting Financial Burden in Pimpri-Chinchwad

Pimpri-Chinchwad: Pimpri-Chinchwad city was shocked on Tuesday morning when it was revealed that a father had committed suicide by hanging himself in the kitchen. Furthermore, the eight-year-old daughter of a man was also found dead in the house. This incident came to light today, on March 19, in the Kalewadi area of Pimpri-Chinchwad.

The deceased have been identified as Bhausaheb Bhanudas Bedre, 43, and Nandini Bhausaheb Bedre, 8. Being an original resident of Beed, it is learned that the Bedre family has been living in Pimpri-Chinchwad city for the last 15 years. After suicide, Bhausaheb Bedre is left with a wife and his 15-year-old son in his family.

Bhausaheb Bedre was working for a private company. However, in a COVID pandemic, Bedre lost his job. After that, he started driving a four-wheeler to manage his daily livelihood. For the last few years, Bhausaheb had been under constant financial pressure and was worried about his financial needs.

A few days ago, Rajashri Bedre, the wife of the deceased Bhausaheb Bedre, had gone to her parental house. On Tuesday morning, at around 4 a.m., Rajashri reached the Shivajinagar bus stand and called her husband to pick her up. However, Bhausaheb didn’t pick up her phone. After that, when Rajashri reached the house, their 15-year-old son opened the door.

Shockingly, when she went inside the kitchen, she saw her husband hanging from the wall of the kitchen. After that, when she tried to wake up her 8-year-old daughter, she also did not respond. After getting information about the incident, Wakad police immediately rushed to the spot. Bhausaheb and Nandini were promptly admitted to YCM Hospital for treatment, but unfortunately, doctors declared them dead before the treatment.

Wakad police received one note from the accused’s house in which he mentioned the persistent problem of money as a reason for his suicide. He also confessed that he had been under mental pressure after selling his ancestral land in the village did not fetch him a good amount. Wakad police are conducting further investigation into the case.
