High-Risk Zones In Pune | High-Risk Zones: 25 Areas in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad at Risk of Flooding
Pune : High-Risk Zones In Pune | The district administration has identified 84 villages in the district as susceptible to floods, urging residents to remain vigilant. The majority of these villages are located in Daund Taluka. Collector Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh has directed the administration to prioritize these villages and take necessary precautions.
In response to the increased rainfall in the district, the district administration has developed a plan to address the flood-prone and landslide-prone villages. Given the rise in rainfall, disaster management officials have been instructed by Dr. Deshmukh to remain stationed at their respective headquarters.
The dangerous areas include 25 locations in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, such as Hingane Khurd, Vitthalwadi, Pulachiwadi, Patil Estate, Shantinagar, and Indiranagar in Yerwada, Sangamwadi, Lonikalbhor, Chande, Wakad, Aundh, Dapodi, Sangvi, Baner, Hingangaon, Pimpri, Chinchwad, Kasarwadi, Phugewadi, Pimple Saudagar, Pimple Gurav, Rahatni, Choviswadi, Niragude, and Sangvi.
Breakdown by Taluka:
Daund Taluka has the highest number with 16 villages.
Maval Taluka has ten villages.
Ambegaon and Shirur each have nine villages.
Mulshi Taluka has seven villages.
Bhor has three villages.
Indapur, Baramati, and Khed have one village each.
Junnar has two villages.
The following villages are included in the identified areas: Parhati, Lumewadi, and Neera in Bhor; Sangurdi in Khed Taluka; Chandoli in Ambegaon Taluka; Pargaon, Niragudsar, Nareadi, Chincholi, Nabe, Padwal, Ganegaon Dumala, Babhulsar, Tandli, Sarvargaon, and Narayangaon in Junnar Taluka; Pimpri Sandus, Dongargaon, and Burkegaon in Haveli Taluka; Ashtapur, Navisandus, Vadu Khurd, and Shikrapur in Shirur; Koregaon Bhima, Dingrajwadi, Vitthalwadi, Vadgaon Rasai, Vadhu Budruk, Apti, Ranjangaon, Sandus, and Mhalunge in Daund; Vadgaon, Kashimbe, Gonwadi, Khorwadi, Vadgawdhere, Pedgaon, Sonwadi, Malthan, Bawda, Ganeshvasti, Bhandgaon Hatwalan, Hinganeberdi, and Shirapur; Neera Narsingpur in Indapur; Bhavdi in Maval; Pulgaon, Sangvi Sandus, Lonavla, Kamshet, and Vadgaon Maval. It also includes Dehu and Alandi.
