Houses of two aides of Mukhtar demolished

Banda (UP), Mar 7 (UNI) – Houses of two close aides of mafia-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari were demolished in different parts of Banda here in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, an official spokesman said here. (Mukhtar Ansari)

 

The spokesman said that houses of Rafiqussamad, a resident of Aliganj under Kotwali Nagar police station, and Ekhtikhar Ahmad, a resident of Zila Parishad crossing, were demolished. “Both the houses were constructed as they were constructed by violating the condition and not getting a layout passed by the competent authority,” he said.

 

The spokesman said that double barrel guns and cartridges in excess of the permissible limit were recovered from the houses of the two aides. “A report to cancel the arms licences of the duo is being sent. Besides, Rs 7 lakh was recovered from the residence of Rafiqussamad regarding which a letter is being written to the Income Tax Department,” he said.

 

The spokesman said that Rafiqussamad provided logistical support, other facilities and support to Mukhtar and his family while he was lodged in the jail. “Ekhtikhar Ahamd used to provide facilities like lodging to Mukhtar’s family,” he said.
