Details about the IAS officer
Sushil Khodwekar is an IAS officer of the 2011 batch. Currently, he is posted as the Deputy Secretary, Department of Agriculture. He was the Deputy Secretary at the Department of Education during the period, the MahaTET scam took place.
GA Technologies, which was given the responsibility of conducting the TET, was blacklisted by the Maharashtra State Council of Education (MSCE) in 2020. However, Khodwekar withdrew the company’s name from the blacklist at the insistence of MSCE suspended Commissioner Tukaram Supe. Khodwekar again granted the contract to conduct the exam to GA Technologies.
Native and other details
IAS Khodwekar hails from Khodwa Savargaon in Parali taluka of Beed district. He completed his primary education from the ZP school at Khodwa Savargaon. He finished his secondary education from the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at Gadhi. He completed his higher secondary education from the Navodaya Vidyalaya, Tuljapur. He graduated in science from the Dnyansadhana Mahavidyalaya, Thane. He is a postgraduate of the Ram Narayan Lohiya College, Matunga, Mumbai.
Later, he started preparing for the civil services exams. He wrote competitive exams from 2007 to 2011. He got the Maharashtra cadre in the 2011 batch. He was posted as the trainee Assistant Collector in Latur. He worked in the Integrated Tribal Development Project in Thane and Palghar.
He was the Municipal Commissioner of the Nanded Waghala Municipal Corporation from February 2015 to April 2016. Later, he became the CEO of the Zilla Parishad, Parbhani. He was transferred as the Project Director of the Maharashtra Agriculture Competitiveness Projects in 2017. The TET scam took place during his tenure in the Education Department as its Deputy Secretary.
