Maharashtra CM to be honoured with ‘Devdut’ award

Kolhapur, Dec 21 (UNI)- Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has been selected for the ‘Devdut’ (messenger of God) award for his help to the distressed people during natural and man-made disasters, it was announced on Thursday.

Ashok Rokade, founder and president of the Jeevanmukti Seva Sanstha and White Army Sanstha, which gives away the award, said in a statement that the announcement has been made on the occasion of the organisation’s 24th foundation day.

The award comprises a shawl, Sriphal, and a memento, which will be presented to Shinde on December 25 in Mumbai, the statement said.
