Bad news for property buyers: Ready Reckoner rates increased for 2022-23

The state government has announced new rates of Ready Reckoner 2022 and there has been a hike of 8.8 per cent on average. Hence, you will have to spend more money to buy a new house. Because of the corona pandemic, the RR rates had not been increased in the last two years. However, the state government, by announcing RR rates, has given a shock to everyone. Except for Mumbai, the RR rates will be applicable from April 1 and they will be effective for 2022-23.

 

In the rural areas of the state, the increase will be 6.96 pc on an average. In municipalities and nagar panchayat areas, there is a hike of 3.62 pc and in municipal corporation areas, there will be a hike of 8.8 per cent. On an average, there has been a hike of five per cent except Mumbai. Overall, the hike will be 8.8 per cent.

 

In the Brihanmumbai region, the average hike is 2.34 per cent. However, this does not include Mumbai. Earlier, the Stamp Duty department had proposed a hike in RR rates for 2022-23. The state government nod was expected and the government has given its green signal. Hence, the stamp duty departments of all districts will be implementing the new RR rates.

 

 

Rural areas: 6.96 pc

Affected areas: 3.9 pc

Nagar Parishad/Nagar Panchayat region: 3.62 pc

Municipal corporation areas: 8.8 pc (except Mumbai)

Average hike in state: 5 pc (except Mumbai)

Average hike in Brihanmumbai corporation region: 2.34 pc
