Policenama – Maharashtra Revenue department on Monday set a record when over 1 lakh digital 7/12 extract downloaded in the state.
Digital 7/12 extract is an important document from the Land Register of any district in Maharashtra. It gives complete information about a particular piece of land — online with a digital signature on it. 7/12 is also known as 7/12 Utara or Record of Right (ROR).
The revenue department has collected around 31.50 lakh on the day towards charges towards the extacts.
Around a couple of years ago, a digital 7/12 extract service was started where farmers can get the document of land register online. Previously individuals had to go to the concerned departments to get the document. Now it is available online.
