Pune (UNI) : Pune Crime News | As the 33rd Maharashtra State Police Sports Tournament is going on in the city, as well as in the background of G-20 summit, a massive joint combing operation was conducted by police station and crime branch in Pune city. (Pune Crime News)
Pune police Commissioner Ritesh Kumar conducted a combing operation in the area of Pune Police Commissionerate to check criminals and take preventive action by checking in hotels, lodges, dhabas, bus stand, railway stations, as well as suspicious persons. As many as 3765 criminals have been checked in this campaign and 698 criminals have been caught.
During the combing operation, 145 Koytas, 3 sword, a country made pistol were seized.A total of 43 cases have been and 90 notorious criminals have been arrested today.
During the operation, the crime branch teams checked 110 hotels and lodges while the police station team checked 427 hotels and lodges.
Crime Branch Unit One arrested Sohail Arif Khan after seizing a nylon manja from his possession which falls under Khadak Police Station.
Meanwhile, the team of Unit 5 has seized a nylon manja worth Rs 8 thousand from Kondhwa Police Station and arrested Abdul Rahman Papa Sheikh (age-65).
On Sinhagad Road, the team of Crime Branch Unit Three has recorded arms from the few criminals on records. The team of Unit 5 unearthed the case of burglary in Hadapsar police stations by arresting criminals from there.
An anti-extortion squad of Pune has seized.
Foreign cigarettes worth Rs 75,750 by arresting one Mudassar Mohammad. The anti- narcotics squad raided two places at hukka Bar in Kondhwa police station limits and arrested hotel owner Shah Rukh Sheikh. Similarly, action has been taken in circles one to five and criminals have been arrested. Action was taken against 77 people and a penalty of 40 thousand rupees was imposed. The traffic branch checked 1095 suspected motorists and imposed a penalty of Rs 98 thousand 980.
All these action was taken after an orders of Police Commissioner Ritesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Karnik, Additional Commissioner of Police Western Regional Division Rajendra Dahale, Additional Commissioner of Police Eastern Regional Division Ranjan Kumar Sharma, additional Commissioner of Police crime Ramnath Pokale, Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime Amol Zende, Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone-1 Sandeep Singh Gill, Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone-2 Smartana Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone-3 Suhail Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone-4 Shashikant Borate, Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone-5 Vikrant Deshmukh, Police Deputy Commissioner Traffic Vijaykumar Magar under the guidance of Crime Branch, Traffic Branch and Police Station Officers.
