Nandurbar district is number in crime investigation
Nandurbar : Policenama online – Nandurbar Police | The DGP Office, Mumbai has analysed the conviction rate of all police stations in 2021. Since the conviction rate in Nandurbar district is 92.93 per cent, it has bagged the first rank in the state. The office of the Nandurbar Superintendent of Police has received a letter regarding this.
Crime conviction means a special system of working has been set up from the time the accused are proved guilty till the time of punishment. As per instructions of SP PR Patil, the Nandurbar police have implemented a five-point court commitment and special programmes and this has resulted in the increased incidents of punishment for the accused in serious and very serious crimes.
Various steps are taken to ensure that crimes are prevented and the crimes are proved in Nandurbar district. As per the guidance of SP PR Patil and Addl SP Vijay Pawar various programmes like carrying out a detailed probe within time, daily follow up of issuing summons by police station in charge and policemen, coordination between police officers, policemen and public prosecutor, conduct daily interview of the police witness and the investigating officer and awards for excellent probe and proving of crime are implemented.
The conviction rate in the cases of 2021 is 92.93 per cent. After the investigating officer submits evidence and after the crime is proved, awards in the form of cash and certificates are given to the investigating officer and court officials.
Due to the coordination between police department and public prosecutor, the percentage of conviction has increased in Nandurbar district.
