‘Nothing special, it is routine meeting of JD(U) in New Delhi’ : Nitish

Patna, Dec 28 (UNI)- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday tried to calm down all speculations over the proposed National Executive Committee meeting of JD(U) in New Delhi on Friday, saying it is just a ‘routine one’.

Kumar told media persons here that the National Executive Committee meeting of JD(U) was just a routine one. Such meetings were organised by his party every year, he pointed out.

Chief Minister dismissed all sorts of speculations doing rounds in political circle over decisions to be taken in proposed meeting of JD(U), reiterating the fact that there was nothing special and it was just a routine one.

He refused to answer further queries of media persons in this connection, saying he was to go to New Delhi soon.

As it is, political circle is agog with lots of speculations over the proposed meeting of JD(U), including likely move of Chief Minister Kumar to desert Grand Alliance and join NDA again.

It is also being speculated that Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh may step down as JD(U) President during its meeting tomorrow.

Singh, however, had himself dismissed such speculations while talking to media persons on his arrival in the National Capital to participate in the party meeting.
