Pimpri: A startling case of alleged prostitution racket has been unearthed in Nigdi, Pimpri Chinchwad, with the arrest of spa manager Dinesh Kumar Gupta, following a complaint lodged by female police constable Sonali Vilas Mane at the Nigdi police station. Gupta, along with an absconding female accomplice, has been booked and detained under relevant sections of the Prevention of Immoral Traffic in Human Beings Act 1956.

Acting on received intelligence, officers from the Immoral Traffic Prevention Cell Division, in collaboration with Nigdi police, conducted a covert operation targeting suspected pimps operating under the guise of spa businesses for illicit gains. Subsequent confirmation was attained through undercover visits to Phoenix Spa located at Shop No. 403, 404, 4th Floor, Insperia Mall, within the precincts of Nigdi Police Station.

In a surprise raid conducted by the investigative team, four girls were rescued from the clutches of the accused, who purportedly exploited them by luring them into prostitution under the guise of spa employment.
