Pune: Ajit Pawar’s Bold Stand: Will Not Field Candidate Again If MIDC Promise Unfulfilled

Pune: Ajit Pawar has been relentlessly campaigning for his wife, Sunetra Pawar, taking various meetings and visiting various party workers in the constituency. As this election will to a large extent decide the future of Ajit Pawar in state politics, Ajit Pawar is not taking any chance in this election.

As a part of his campaigning for his wife, Sunetra Pawar, Ajit Pawar recently took one meeting in Bhor Taluka, where he promised people to bring MIDC to the Taluka. Surprisingly, he said that if he could not fulfil his promise, he would not give his candidate in Bhor Taluka and Baramati henceforth.

Ajit Pawar said, “Some of the people told me that this time we will help you, but if you do not bring MIDC here, we will not support your candidate the next time.” He said, “Rather than you telling me this, I myself will not give candidate from here next time if I do not bring MIDC here in the next five years, as I would feel bad that I would not be able to do as I promised. However, I would not let that happen. I will certainly bring an MIDC here.”

While promising various schemes and developmental works for the people of Bhor Taluka, Ajit Pawar also criticised the incumbent MP of Baramati, Supriya Sule. He said, “The sitting MP publishes my works in their campaigning books and takes credit.” He said that all the government buildings in Baramati have been built by me, but the current MP is showing that in their books.

“Nothing happens by just giving speeches in parliament. Words need to be supported by action. To get the work done, you need someone who has a kind of aura and command of administration, and unfortunately, the current MP does not have such an aura,” Ajit Pawar added.

Meanwhile, on this, Supriya Sule also hit back at Ajit Pawar, asking him why he could not do the work he was promising now when he was the Guardian Minister of Pune for 18 years. “I have been MP just for 15 years. Ajit Dada was the Guardian Minister of Pune for 18 years. You must ask him why he did not do the work he was promising now during his tenure as Guardian Minister,” Supriya Sule questioned.
