RPI should get 25 seats in PMC elections, says Union Minister Ramdas Athawale
Pune : Policenama online – Pune Corporation Elections (PMC Elections) | Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale said Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut was using foul language while levelling charges against opposition parties. He was addressing a press conference on Sunday.
He said the Republican Party of India (RPI) was going to contest the forthcoming municipal elections along with the BJP. The RPI should get at least 25 tickets in the Pune Municipal Corporation elections, he said.
He said the BJP and RPI will contest together and emerge victorious. Elections are being held in five states including Uttar Pradesh. RPI is with BJP in all these states and we will come to power everywhere, he said.
People who are in power should speak in a responsible manner. It is wrong to speak ill about others, he said. There is no need to use foul language while criticising someone. I will make efforts to bridge the gap between BJP and Shiv Sena. The BJP-Shiv Sena alliance was a friendly alliance and friends have now become enemies. I am going to discuss this with CM Uddhav Thackeray. I am going to make efforts to end the dispute between both the parties, he added.
