Pune : Policenama online Pune crime | The Bibvewadi police acted quickly to arrest members of a gang who had vandalised many vehicles after making an attempt to kill their rivals.
There was a dispute between Amir Khan of Kakde Vasti and Suraj Koli and Akash Koli of Shelke Vasti. Amir Khan’s birthday was on December 13 and Suraj Koli and his aides had gone to kill Amir Khan and his aides. However, Amir Khan and his friends escaped.
At 11.30 pm on December 13, Amir Khan and his aides went to Shelke Vasti to kill Suraj Koli and his aides. However, they did not know where Koli stayed and they started vandalsing vehicles parked in the area. Two autorickshaws, two pick up vans, a tempo and two two-wheelers were vandalised and also attacked local residents.
The residents lodged a complaint at Bibvewadi police station. Rohit Narsing Rathod, Arbaz Ahmed Patel, Surendra Gopal Labichhane, Rohan Rajendra Jagtap, Sonu Anil Khandare and Arjun alias Amoghsid Malu have been identified as the accused.
Senior police inspector Sunil Zavre of Bibvewadi police station arrested the accused with their weapons within 12 hours of lodging of the complaint.
Such incidents have been reported from Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad and the residents have to suffer because of this.
