Pune Crime News : 43-year-old man molested and also demanded extortion of Rs 20 lakh from 39-year-old woman over one-sided love affair in Wanwadi
Pune: Policenama online – Pune Crime News | A 43-year-old man due to a one-sided love affair chased a 39-year-old married woman and molested her. Also, an extortion case of demanding Rs 20 lakhs by threatening to kill her husband and children has come to light. The incident took place in Wanwadi between July 2023 to Saturday, October 21, 2023. In this case, the Pune police have registered a case against the accused and arrested him. (Pune Crime News)
A 39-year-old married woman has filed a complaint at the Market Yard Police Station. Accordingly, the police have registered a case under IPC sections 354, 354d, 384 and 506 against Dhamendra Kumar Parmanand Thakur alias Chhotu (43) a resident of Darbhanga in Bihar.
According to the police, “The accused had a one-sided love with the complainant. The accused used to chase the complainant on his car and bike after the complainant husband moved out for a job. The accused also used to disturb the complainant by knocking the door and window of the house.The accused also took the photographs of the complainant and her son and sent them to the husband and threatened to marry or give Rs 20 lakh as a ransom or husband and son will be killed. Fed up with the harassment caused by the accused, the woman rushed to the Market Yard police station and lodged a complaint.”
The police have registered a case of molestation and extortion against the accused and arrested him. The further investigation is being conducted by police sub-inspector Pawar.
