Pune crime | Man booked for obtaining loan with forged papers of a car purchase, dupes credit society of Rs 12.75 lakh
Pune : Policenama online – Pune crime | A cooperative credit society was cheated of Rs 12.75 lakh by fraudulently obtaining a vehicle loan on the basis of forged papers. A case has been filed at the Dattawadi police station against Vikram Madhavrao Ingle, a resident of Manjula Nivas, Kothrud. The complainant in the case is Rajendra Vishwas Kamble, a resident of Sinhagad Road.
The police said Kamble works at Jankalyan Nagari Sahakari Patsanstha. Ingle and others applied for a loan for the purchase of a car. In support, they allegedly produced a forged invoice of Sahyadri Motors, an RTO fee receipt, and an RC book.
The accused opened an account in the ICICI Bank and deposited the cheque for Rs 12,72,445, thus cheating the credit society. The incident occurred between June 20 and August 7, 2020. An inquiry was ordered when the accused failed to pay the instalments. PSI Kale of Unit 3 of the Pune police Crime Branch is investigating the case.
