Pune Crime News | Dattawadi police arrest absconding accused in MCOCA case
PUNE: Pune Crime News | The Dattawadi police have arrested an absconding accused in a MCOCA case and his two aides. They have been arrested from PMC colony in Rajendra Nagar. Their arrest has also brought to light a serious crime which happened two days ago. (Pune Crime News)
The arrested accused have been identified as Anand alias Sonu Siddeshwar Dhade (22), a resident of Padmavati, Dhananjay Ganesh Adagale (25), a resident of Padmavati and Prasad alias Appa Nagesh Karale (23), a resident of Bibvewadi. Anand alias Sonu was absconding for a year. Police constable Kundan Shinde, policeman Prashant Shinde and policeman Navnath Bhosle were carrying out a check of criminals on police record when they came to know that Anand alias Sonu was hiding in a building in PMC Colony in Rajendra Nagar area.
The information was verified. The Dattawadi police formed three teams and laid a trap and arrested them. When they were questioned, they admitted assaulting Swapnil Arne with sharp weapons in Laxmi Nagar area of Parvati on May 14, 2023.
Action had been taken against Anand alias Sonu Dhade under MCOCA in a serious crime registered at the Sahakar Nagar police station. He had been granted bail in the case. Later, action had been taken against him under MCOCA in an attempt to murder case in the limits of Sahakar Nagar police station and he was absconding. Cases of attempt to murder, robbery, molestation, violation of externment orders, riots are registered against him at Sahakar Nagar, Kondhwa and Swargate police stations.
Addl CP Pravinkumar Patil, DCP Suhail Sharma, ACP Rajendra Galande, Sr PI Jayram Paigude, PI Vijay Khomne guided a team of officials including PSI Chandrakant Kamthe, havaldar Kundan Shinde, police naik Amit Surve, policeman Prakash Margaje, policeman Anees Tamboli, policeman Navnath Bhosle, policeman Prashant Shinde, policeman Deepak Lodha, policeman Amol Dabde, policeman Dayand Telange Patil, policeman Babasaheb Patole, policeman Gorakhnath Madgude, policeman Amit Chivhe and policeman Kishor Vale in taking the action.
