Pune Crime News | Lashkar police booked one man for demanding extortion from a businessman

Pune: Policenama online  – Pune Crime News | The Lashkar police in Pune has registered a case against one man for demanding extortion from a businessman. The accused father used to extort money from the businessman and now he is in jail for the same. According to police, as the father is in jail the son started extorting money on his behalf. The accused has been identified as Anas Feroze Khan a resident of Chudaman Taleem in Bhawani Peth.

Police sub-inspector Gaikwad of Lashkar police station said, ” A businessman Rupesh Sopanrao Dake (51) who runs a Raje Chinese Fast Food at Babajan Chowk has filed a complaint against the accused regarding extortion.”

Gaikwad further added, ” Rupesh Dake owns Raje Chinese Fast Food and the accused Anas Khan’s father is a history-sheeter. Earlier his father used to extort money from businessmen in the Pune area. Few days back the accused father was released from the jail on bail, but soon he entered the house of one person for extortion and when he did not give in he beat him. We again arrested him. On 30th July the accused Anas went to Dake’s hotel and demanded an extortion amount of Rs 100 daily from him. The plaintiff denied it.After this the accused threatened him that soon after my father’s release from jail I will collect Rs 500 per day from you. On August 1 the accused again went to the plaintiff’s hotel and demanded extortion money and threatened “Chacha tum khayal rakho” and said that you did not pay me yesterday so you did a wrong thing. I respect you and that’s the reason I called you Rupesh Chacha and not Rupesh. Now I will show you who I am and demanded extortion money again and also abused him. Based on the complaint filed by Rupesh Dake we have registered a case of extortion against the accused and are further investigating the case.”
