Pune Crime News | Man on a morning walk killed after being hit by speeding vehicle on Daund-Patas Road

DAUND : Pune Crime News | An unknown speeding vehicle rammed into a couple which had gone for a morning walk. Durgesh Ankush Jagtap (35) died in the accident. The incident took place on Patas Daund Ashtavinayak road in the morning. According to the police, Durgesh Jagtap and his wife Swati were on a morning walk on Daund-Patas road. A speeding vehicle which came from Daund rammed into Durgesh Jagtap. Later, Durgesh was lining on the road in an injured condition.

 

Locals and relatives rushed him to a private hospital in Patas. The doctors advised that he should be shifted to a hospital in Yavat. He was admitted to a government hospital. However, the doctors announced that he had passed away before they could begin treatment. Durgesh’s wife Swati had a close shave and she has received minor injuries. Yogesh Jagtap, the brother of deceased Durgesh, has lodged a complaint at the Yavat police station. Accordingly, the police have registered an FIR against the driver of an unknown vehicle.

 

It has become necessary for people who go for a morning walk to be careful. The road has been widened at many places and hence, vehicles are being driven at high speed. The police regularly issue warnings to citizens that those who go for a walk in the morning and evening should be careful about speeding vehicles.
