Pune Crime News | Pune Crime Branch arrests youth from Camp for selling drugs; Mephedrone worth ₹1.43 lakh seized from him

PUNE: Pune Crime News | The ANC-2 of the Pune police Crime Branch has arrested a youth from lane number 16 of Centre Street, Camp and seized 7 gm and 150 mg of Mephedrone worth ₹1.43 lakh from him.


The accused has been identified as Anas Arab Qureshi (21), a resident of Bhimpura, Camp. On July 22, 2023, officials and policemen of ANC were patrolling in the limits of Lashkar police station. At that time, policemen Azim Shaikh and Sayyad Sahil Shaikh came to know that a youth was going to arrive at at lane number 16 of Centre Street, Camp to sell Mephedrone.
The information was verified and later, a police team laid a trap and arrested him. Mephedrone worth ₹1.43 lakh was seized from him. An FIR has been registered against him at the Lashkar police station under the NDPS Act.


The action was taken under the guidance of CP Ritesh Kumar, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Amol Zende, ACP Satish Govekar by PI Sunil Thopte, PSI Shubhangi Narke, PSI Digambar Chavan, policemen Azim Shaikh, Sayyad Sahil Shaikh, Shivaji Ghule, Prashant Bomadandi, Chetan Gaikwad, Mahesh Salunkhe, Nitin Jagdale, Yogesh Mandhre, Yuvraj Kamble, Santosh Deshpande, Sandip Jadhav and Dinesh Bastewad in taking the action.
