Pune : Policenama online – Pune Crime | A PMPML bus driver has been booked for causing a spine injury to a passenger due to rash driving. The injured passenger approached the Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station and lodged a complaint against the PMPML bus driver. (Pune Crime)
The accused PMPML driver has been identified as Aslam Kadar Shaikh. Raju Motiram Chinchwadkar (62), a resident of Sacchiaimata Temple, Ambegaon Khurd, lodged a complaint at the Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station on Friday.
The incident took place near the Katraj Snake Park on November 27 evening.
According to the police, Chinchwadkar was travelling by the PMPML bus on the Lohegaon-Katraj route. When the bus arrived near the Katraj Snake Park, the driver ignored a speed breaker. Moreover, he was driving the bus speedily and did not apply the brakes. As a result, the complainant received a spine injury due to a strong jerk. Shaikh was responsible for the accident, stated the complaint. The police are investigating further.
