Woman stoned to death by husband
Pune : Policenama online – Pune Crime | A woman was killed by her husband as he did not like her sending money to her children born after her first marriage. The victim has been identified as Gomti Bhopali Kevat (49). The Loni Kalbhor police arrested her husband Murli Chainu Kevat (36), a resident of Sortapwadi. (Pune Crime)
Amar Kaluram Pangarkar (47), a resident of Sortapwadi, lodged a complaint at the Loni Kalbhor police station in this regard. According to the police, a nursery belonging to Amar Pangarkar is located at Sortapwadi. Gomti, along with her husband Murli, was working at the nursery. They used to live in a tin shed near their working place. She married for the second time with Murli. The children born after her first marriage live in Madhya Pradesh. She was sending money to her children in MP.
The couple used to have fights frequently over this. They fought on the same issue on Sunday night again. Enraged Murli hit her head with a stone and killed her. After learning about the incident, Pangarkar reported the matter to the police. Murli Kevat was arrested.
