Pune: Yesterday, a police constable was tragically killed in a road accident where a speeding car hit his two-wheeler. This incident took place on the Mumbai-Bangalore highway at Ravet on Monday, April 15, at around 10.30 in the night.
The deceased police constable has been identified as Sachin Narute (38). Narute, a police constable at Dehuroad police station, resides in Wakad. Yesterday, at around 10.30 p.m., Narute was returning home on his two-wheeler (MH 14 GV 7750) after finishing his duty. At that time, a speeding vehicle hit Narute’s two-wheeler, and Narute’s bike along with him blew away a few distances away.
After the collision, the accused car driver absconded from the scene. After that, Narute was admitted to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment; however, the impact of the accident was so severe that Narute succumbed to the injuries and died before the treatment.
Police are searching for the accused in this case. Narute is survived by his wife and two young daughters.
