Pune: Policenama online – Pune Metro | The work of Ruby Hall to Ramwadi stretch of Pune Metro is going to be completed in November this year and the third phase of metro will become operational. Hence, Puneites will be able to travel from Vanaz to Ramwadi and they will be able to travel in the fourth stretch i.e. from Civil Court to Swargate from January 2024. The first and second phases of Pune Metro have been inaugurated. (Pune Metro)
These routes have also become operational and Puneites have heaved a sigh of relief. Now, Puneites are waiting for the opening of the third and fourth stage. The passengers will benefit after the routes are operational. Hence, there is a demand that both these phases should be made operational as early as possible.
First phase
(Inauguration; March 6, 2023)
Vanaz to Garware College: 5 km
Stations: Vanzaz and Anand Nagar
Ideal Colony, Nal Stop and Garware College
Second phase
(Inauguration: August 1, 2023)
Garware College to Ruby Hall station: 4.7 km
Stations: Deccan Gymkhana, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Garden, PMC, Civil Court, Mangalwar Peth (RTO), Ruby Hall Clinic station
Fugewadi to Civil Court: 6.9 km
Stations: Fugewadi, Dapodi, Bopodi, Khadki, Range Hill, Shivaji Nagar, Civil Court
Third phase
(Will be ready in November 23)
Ruby Hall to Ramwadi: 6 km
Stations: Bund Garden, Yerawada,
Kalyani Nagar, Ramwadi
Fourth phase
(Will be ready in January/February 24)
Civil Court to Swargate: 5 km
Stations: Budhwar Peth, Mandai, Swargate
Executive Director of MahaMetro Hemant Sonawane said, “The first and second phases have been recently operationalised. Now, we are planning to open the third phase i.e. Pune station to Ramwadi in November 2023. We are also planning to open the fourth phase i.e. Civil Court to Swargate in January 2024. Hence, all works are being executed on a war footing.”
