Pune | PMC to start process to regularise houses under gunthewari from January 10

Pune : Policenama onlineThe Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has decided to start the process to regularise houses built under gunthewari from January 10 onwards. The State government issued an order about gunthewari last year in October.

 

Now, after four months, the civic body has taken the decision to start the online gunthewari process from next week.

 

Mayor Murlidhar Mohol conducted a meeting of civic officials on Monday. Mohol instructed the administration to start the gunthewari process. The civic body has set a deadline of three months to regularise houses under gunthewari. The PMC has fixed Rs 1,500 charge per guntha to regularise homes.

 

Houses located in the green belt, water bodies, bio-diversity park area and funnel zone declared by air force area would not be regularised.

 

While speaking at a press conference, Mohol said, “The State government has issued guidelines to regularise houses under gunthewari process. The PMC will accept only online application of gunthewari as per state government directives. Residents of old and newly merged villages would need to submit the proposals online.”

 

He further said, “Residents should not take help of any agent to submit an online gunthewari application. The civic body would only consider applications which would be submitted by the architects.

 

He also appealed to architects to charge a fee of Rs 5,000 per application.
