Pune Police arrest Maharashtra State Council of Examination Commissioner Tukaram Supe in TET question paper leak

Pune : Policenama online – The Pune Cyber Police have arrested Maharashtra State Council of Examination Commissioner Tukaram Supe for allegedly helping leak the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) question paper.

The Pune Cyber Police reportedly found his role in the question paper leak during an investigation. Commissioner of Police Amitabh Gupta will give details about the case in a press conference at 1 pm on Friday. (Pune Police)

CP Gupta is himself guiding the investigation team in the question paper leak case. Hall tickets of some TET candidates were recovered from GA Software company director Dr Pritish Deshmukh, an accused in the Mhada exam paper leak case. This confirmed the TET question paper leak.

The Pune Cyber Police on Thursday detained Tukaram Supe from his home in Pimpri. Senior police officers interrogated him throughout the day and he was arrested late on Thursday night.

This has confirmed the role of senior officials from the department in leaking the TET question paper following a similar pattern from the State Health Department.

Temperatures have dropped in Punjab, Maharashtra and most parts of Gujarat in the past some days. They will drop further by 3-4 degrees Celsius in the coming 4-5 days.

In Vidarbha, mercury dipped to 12 degrees Celsius, indicating cold wave conditions in the region. Temperatures will drop further in the coming days.

Rain accompanied by snowfall is likely to occur in the next two days at many places in Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarbad and Himachal Pradesh. Sporadic showers may be witnessed in north Punjab, Haryana, and western Uttar Pradesh.
