Pune : Pune Police News | Commissioner of Police Ritesh Kumar and Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Karnik felicitated the police officers responsible for apprehending two individuals declared as absconders by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Beat Marshals Pradeep Chavan and Amol Najan from Kothrud Police Station successfully nabbed Mohammad Yunus Mohammad Yaku Saki (24) and Mohammad Imran Mohammad Yusuf Khan (23), who were currently residing in Chetna Garden, Mithanagar, Kondhwa. The criminals, originally from Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, were apprehended during a routine patrol by the beat marshals.

In recognition of their exemplary efforts, Commissioner of Police Ritesh Kumar and Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Karnik honored the two beat marshals along with other members of the police team, including Deputy Inspectors of Police, Senior Police Inspectors, and Deputy Commissioners of Police.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Suhesh Sharma, Senior Police Inspector Hemant Patil, Police Sub-Inspector Pravin Kulkarni, Police Constables Pradip Chavan, Amol Najan, Bala Rafi Shaikh, Aniket Jamdade, Dnyaneshwar Panchal, and Vaibhav Shitkal were presented with flowers as a token of appreciation. During the search of the arrested individuals’ residence, the police discovered one live cartridge, four mobile phones, a laptop, and other important documents. These individuals are suspected to be involved in anti-national activities.

A case has been registered at Kothrud Police Station under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including IPC 468 (forgery for the purpose of cheating), 379 (punishment for theft), 511 (punishment for attempting to commit offenses punishable with imprisonment for life or other imprisonment), and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention). The case also includes sections of the Indian Weapons Act and the Maharashtra Police Act.
