Pune: Public Brawl Escalates into Deadly Violent Assault! Eight People Booked for Injuring Two at Parvati Police Station

Pune: On Sunday, January 21, two youths were brutally assaulted by eight people with hands, legs, and wooden sticks following a minor verbal altercation over playing cricket. In this case, two people were severely injured, and a complaint was lodged against eight people at Parvati police station.

In this case, a 23-year-old resident of Janata Vasahat, Ratnadeep Sampat Rankhambe, filed a complaint against eight accused. Accordingly, police registered a case against Shankar Kakade, Rohit Gorkhe, Pawan Koli, Akash Dhangde, Anuj Gorkhe, Jeevan Shinde, Malhari, and Sandeep Jogdandkar under IPC 324, 323, 504, 143, 147, and 149 under the Maharashtra Police Act.

As per the police report, the accused, Ratnadeep Rankhambe, and a few of his accomplices were playing cricket on the ground in the Janata Vasahat area. At that time, the prime accused, Shankar Kakade, came there and asked them not to play cricket there.

Following that, verbal exchanges between the plaintiff and the accused aggregated, resulting in the violent attack on the plaintiff and his friends by the accused. Soon after, accomplices of the accused also joined in and unleashed a heavy attack on the plaintiff and his friends. The assailants abused and attacked the other group with wooden sticks and injured them.

The plaintiff and one more person received heavy injuries in this case and were admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. The police are conducting further investigations.
