Pune: In a shocking incident at Bhagwa Chowk in Kondhwa Budruk, a minor domestic disagreement spiralled out of control, resulting in a brutal assault on Santosh Vilas Kamble (25 years old) by his father-in-law and brother-in-law. The incident unfolded between 5 and 5:30 p.m. on January 17, in front of the victim’s residence.
The victim, Santosh Vilas Kamble, residing at Bhagwa Chowk, filed a complaint with the Kondhwa Police Station, detailing the harrowing assault. A case has been registered against the father-in-law, identified as Ambar Sontakke, the brother-in-law, Yash Sontakke, and two other unidentified individuals under IPC sections 325, 323, 504, 506, and 34.
According to the police report, the dispute erupted over a minor issue between Santosh Kamble and his wife. During the argument, Ambar Sontakke, the father-in-law, intervened and questioned the reason for the altercation. Allegedly, the wife accused Santosh Kamble of unwarranted harassment, prompting Ambar Sontakke to physically assault his son-in-law.
The violence escalated as Yash Sontakke, the brother-in-law, and two other unidentified individuals joined the altercation, subjecting Santosh Kamble to both verbal abuse and physical assault. In an attempt to escape the assault, the victim was reportedly pushed, leading to a fall on a stone and a subsequent fracture in his left leg.
Following this attack, the plaintiff lodged a complaint against his in-laws for violent assault on him. Further investigation is being conducted by female police inspector Pooja Patil of the Kondhwa Police Station.
