Pune Rains | Khadakwasla Dam gets 3 months of water storage in just 4 days

PunePolicenama online – Pune Rain s |  Pune’s Khadakwasla dam which supplies water to the city, has seen an increase of five TMC water. The city has enough water to last about three months. The Khadakwasla project has 23 TMC (79 per cent) of water storage till Monday evening, which is 13 TMC more than last year. Last year, Khadakwasla had 9.86 TMC of water in four dams of the project.

There was heavy rain in the Khadakwasla dam area. During the day on Monday, 40 mm of rain was recorded in the Temghar dam area, 23 mm in Varasgaon, 24 mm in Panshet and 10 mm in the Khadakwasla dam area.

Increase of 18 TMC in Ujani
The Ujani dam had only 0.91 TMC (1.70 per cent) of usable water on July 23. Due to heavy rains in the last four days, 18.81 TMC of water has been stored in Ujani dam.
